About Us

HISTORY

The Sto. Rosario Multi-Purpose Cooperative was organized through the initiative of Fr. Rod Samson, our parish priest.  He invited speakers from a Cooperative from Bulacan to conduct a series of seminars on Cooperatives. When he was transferred to another parish, Msgr. Alberto Suatengco continued his advocacy.

We started with fifty two (52) cooperators who were parishioners of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish with the initial share capital of fifty three thousand pesos (P53,000.00)

SRMPC was registered at Cooperative Development Authority on December 15, 1994 and re-registered on February 11, 2010 under RA 9520-16007893.

To continue our operation, we hold our office below the stairs of the parish church and all the staff were all volunteers until such time that our income can sustain our daily operation.  After a year, we moved to a rented building opposite the parish church with the vision of maintaining a spiritually healthy community to its mission of helping improve the quality of life of its members through livelihood projects and seminar workshops.

From its original 53 members, the cooperative increased the membership to 3,600 with the share capital of One hundred fifty two million six hundred eighty seven thousand three hundred pesos only. (152,687,300.00) and with a total Assets of Three hundred thirty six million eighty two thousand one hundred six and 09/100  pesos (P336,082,106.09) for the year ended.

Through the efforts of its officers, management staff and its members, the cooperative reached the large category and with three (3) peat awards as Best Large Cooperative in the whole Valenzuela form 2021, 2022 & 2023.

With God’s guidance, we will continue our journey until we meet our ultimate dream wherein every member of our cooperative will live in dignity.
